We have been on a few fantastic hikes since we got to WA in April, and this last weekend I (lovingly) forced my dear husband to come with me on another hike. We chose to go to Bandera Mountain, which conveniently enough had the trailhead situated just over an hour drive away from us.
Bandera Mountain, 5,240′, is located close to the Snoqualmie Pass in Alpine Lakes Winderness area and is a moderate 8ish mile hike offering wildflowers, fun trails, and crazy spectacular views of the Cascades and the ever so majestic Mt. Rainier (yes, she is calling me and I will follow. One day).
We left just before noon Saturday and I admit I was slightly worried that the gorgeous weather and the closeness to Seattle would leave this hike over crowded and not so enjoyable, however while we were definitely not the only ones enjoying this hike, it was far from crowded and there were no ‘road blocks’ – we could just do our thing enjoying Bandera Mountain itself and the surroundings. Enjoy, and soak it all up, that is. I totally recommend visiting here if you get a chance. In fact, we are talking about going back to hike to Mason Lake and Mt. Defiance. Gorgeous!

I am so ridiculously EXCITED about all the amazing and easily accessible trails we have here in Washington State, and I am hoping to really get going with sharing our adventures out there on the trails.
