1. The Online Running Community ROCKS
I want to thank YOU ALL for being so supportive, motivating and inspiring. The online running community is SO AMAZING – I really don’t know what I would do without the inspiration and motivation you all share, daily. I mean, I would probably still be running, but having friends (even if it’s “only” online, for now) like you cheering me on from afar is making running so much better.
2. SKORA FIT
SKORA Running is about to release a new model – the FIT – and those of you who know me a little bit probably already know that this will have me crazy excited?! I have been in love with my SKORA shoes since I first got them on my feet last year – the models Base, Form and just recently the Phase have been frequent running buddies of mine and we have been enjoying many wonderful moments. From today my good old SKORA’s will have competition, because SKORA Running is obviously a “hit machine” when it comes to running shoes. The FIT is incredibly comfortable with an amazing fit/feel and they look.. Well, AWESOME!
Check out the FIT and make sure to sign up for the newsletter to get the latest news about the release of FIT and the rest of SKORA’s coming shoes:
3. Google Translate For Runners
This is clever, spot on and made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants. Well, not really.. But it’s a great piece written by Amy L. Marxkors for Fleet Feet Sports!
4. The Sun – A love/hate thing
As some of you are struggling with a long, cold winter and I, myself, am struggling with too much heat/humidity I thought I’d clarify one thing so that you don’t think I’m a total complaining/unappreciative punk: I LOVE the sun! Don’t think I’m not appreciative of it, because.. Well, I grew up in a place where I usually didn’t even SEE the sun during December , and the snow didn’t melt awat fully until May, so I’ve learned how hard it is to miss those precious sun beams and the way it warms both your body and mind up.. I love the sun and the warm days over here in Hawaii – as long as I’m not trying to get a quality run in. Sun = Life.
5. Keeping it Real
Oiselle runner Lauren Fleshman wrote a very inspiring and important post, one of those I feel I can never share too many times. Head on over to Runner’s World and read it NOW. Already read it? Well, read it again and share it with everyone you know. I have a blogpost brewing regarding this, I just need to brave up and press that Publish button.. Yeah. So go read this and share away! Maybe join the challenge too?
